Update to the previous post about people selling fake gold jewelry.
People have indicated to us that they have been approached in Clearwater Bay ON two weeks ago, and in St. James Winnipeg one week ago, by a young couple with a small child claiming to be from Dubai and that they needed gas. They were driving a 4 door Nissan with Quebec plates.

Fake Gold Chains and Rings Hit Winnipeg and Kenora
Beware! Fake jewelry has surfaced in Winnipeg and Kenora. A young man with a small child, possibly in a grey Chevrolet Caprice, Impala or similar, are telling good samaritans a fake sob story about running out of gas and his credit card not working. Then he takes off his ring and chain to sell for a few hundred bucks.
The chain and the ring are copper alloyed with nickel. Both are stamped 18k, but have no gold in them at all.
